Mornington Peninsula Wedding Venues Compared Honestly

Six addresses, one team. Every property on our list is a genuinely different kind of wedding day, and the differences matter more than the styling photos suggest. What follows is the plain version: guest numbers, indoor or outdoor, beds on site, and the couple each venue actually suits. Nothing here is a package pitch, because the right venue depends on the shape of your day rather than the look of a brochure.

What couples are asking for right now & why Ever After Effect has it all

Recent trend reporting from Australian and international wedding publications keeps landing on the same handful of themes, and our properties happen to sit well inside them.

  • A weekend, not a day. Welcome drinks, the wedding, then a slow brunch, with guest experience treated as seriously as the ceremony.
  • Smaller lists, bigger tables. Couples are trimming obligation invites and spending instead on shared feasting and menus that feel personal.
  • Unposed and unhurried. Stiff portraits are out. Couples want movement, real moments and an editorial finish, caught in time rather than posed.
  • Film as a booking reason. Photographers report winning or losing enquiries on whether film is offered, so it is no longer a curiosity.
  • Looser timelines. Couples want to know who is holding the runsheet so they do not have to.
  • Local produce and fewer travelling vendors, which one-location weddings handle naturally.
  • Colour and character: rich earthy palettes, old money and European vintage references.

Our venues, one by one

Mantons Creek Estate, Shoreham

The estate long table is the centrepiece here. Old money, European vintage, Tuscan light through the trees. Suites on site mean the wedding weekend can stretch from Friday welcome drinks to a slow Sunday, with nobody driving home. This is where our in-house story reads clearest: we hold the runsheet, we plate the long table, and we photograph it. Best for couples who want a curated guest list and a weekend that feels like a private estate stay.

The Epicurean Red Hill

Industrial bones, open fires and shared feasting at scale, built for 100 or more. Everything happens in one place, so there are no buses and no transitions between ceremony, dinner and dancing. If your guest list is long and your instinct is communal rather than formal, this is the one. Pair it with The Cambium for the getting-ready morning and the whole arc runs from quiet to loud.

The Cambium

The quiet start. Native bush, curated interiors and more than one ceremony spot, so you can choose the light rather than accept it. There are beds for the crew, which makes it a practical base for the people who need to be there early. Best for couples who want a calm, low-noise beginning to a big day, and a launchpad on the wedding morning.

Ashcombe Gardens

The French garden estate. Hedges, gravel and a formal structure that makes a ceremony feel like a courtyard in another country, without a passport. The geometry does a lot of the work, so you do not need to build much styling on top of it. Best for couples who want the ceremony itself to carry the room, and photographs that look composed rather than arranged. Ideal if you are looking at hosting a marquee reception all onsite, we price these on application and it can be as simplistic or as grand as you wish.

Red Hill Lavender Farm

The festival wedding. Lawn, food trucks, lanterns and guests who would rather wander than sit still. Catering comes through The Epicurean Group, if you wish, and beverage-only packages with our team. Best for 80 or more guests, if you are looking for a stand-up style celebration, or 80 or less for a sit down dinner. A relaxed crowd and a day that feels more like a gathering.

Panagia Kamariani

A Greek Orthodox church ceremony followed by a garden reception, which gives you the two-part day some families want without coordinating two separate venues. The To Trapezi story sits with this property, and we cover it in more detail elsewhere on the site. Best for couples who want the church element to be real and the reception to stay warm, generous and outdoors.

What stays the same at every address

Catering comes from The Epicurean Group, with food built around local Mornington Peninsula produce, regional wine pairings, shared Italian feasts and wood-fired late-night moments. Photography and videography packages are available with our co-founder Cassandra Catic. Co-founders Leah Regan and Cassandra Catic lead the team, with Leah heading operations and catering alongside The Epicurean Group, which she also co-owns. The practical result is that you are not stitching three suppliers together and hoping their timelines agree. One team, one vision, and no handover gaps on the day.

Frequently Asked Questions

Which venue suits a wedding of 100 guests or more?

For shared feasting at scale, The Epicurean Red Hill is built for 100 or more, with industrial interiors and open fires handling the atmosphere. Red Hill Lavender Farm covers festival-style weddings from around 80 guests, with a lawn layout and food trucks. Tell us your number at enquiry and we will confirm what each property can hold for your setup.

Can we stay on site for the whole wedding weekend?

Mantons Creek Estate has suites on site, so the weekend can run from Friday welcome drinks through to a slow Sunday, and The Cambium has beds for the crew and the getting-ready morning. Accommodation at the other properties is confirmed at enquiry, since it depends on the layout and the size of your group.

Do you cater festival-style weddings with food trucks?

Yes. Red Hill Lavender Farm runs on a lawn with food trucks, lanterns and a wandering crowd, and catering comes through The Epicurean Group, which offers a food truck option there. Beverage-only packages are also available if you would rather shape the drinks side yourselves. It suits couples who want a gathering rather than a seated program.

Can we marry in a church and have a garden reception?

Panagia Kamariani pairs a Greek Orthodox church ceremony with a garden reception, so you keep both parts of the day without coordinating two separate venues. The To Trapezi story sits with this property, and we cover it in more detail elsewhere on the site. Ask us how the timing works for your ceremony.

How do we get pricing for Mornington Peninsula wedding venues?

We keep pricing off the website on purpose, because it depends on your date, your numbers and your layout. Send an enquiry and our wedding brochure is emailed to you automatically with the detail that matters for your celebration. From there we can talk fees and answer the specifics. Most couples research online first, so we keep the enquiry step simple.
